For the honest job that sounds like a scam

Same repair. Said so your customer doesn't feel robbed.

I'm building the tool that turns the tech's cryptic note into a calm, customer-ready explanation — the kind you can read out loud and watch them relax. Get early access.

The same repair, said two ways. An example of what it produces — not a live tool yet.
The tech's note

P0301 cyl 1 misfire, coil DOA, plugs gapped wide.
RR brakes metal-to-metal, rotors scored past spec.
Sway bar end link play.
Cust: shudder @ idle + grinding on stop.

Customer-ready
Concern

You mentioned a shudder at idle and a grinding noise when you brake.

Cause

A failed ignition coil is keeping one cylinder from firing cleanly — that's the shudder. Your rear brakes are worn down to the metal and have scored the rotors — that's the grinding.

Correction

Replace the coil and spark plugs for a smooth idle, and replace the rear brake pads and resurface the rotors so you stop safely and quietly.

You're safe to drive once the rear brakes are done.
What to tell them first
Rear brakes — Urgent Misfire — Address soon

Built to read brake jobs, no-starts, overheats, A/C and the rest the same calm way — and built to never invent a price, a part number, or a warranty. Just your tech's diagnosis, in plain English you can copy straight into the estimate.

What it'll do
01

Paste the note

Drop in the tech's scrawl and the codes, exactly as they were written — nothing to clean up first.

02

Get it in plain English

It returns the same diagnosis as a calm Concern / Cause / Correction your customer can follow.

03

Read it across the counter

The kind of explanation a nervous customer relaxes hearing — so an honest job stops sounding like a scam.
